St Regis Xiamen

Luxury Hotel in Xiamen, China

When designing the Xiamen St. Regis Hotel, we drew inspiration from the natural surroundings, particularly the numerous islets around Xiamen. We have incorporated this element into the design, making the building resemble an “island” emerging in the East China Sea.

We carefully chose the name “The Flying Island” to represent the place where the sea meets the sky, where a star-like small island emerged, embodying wonder and romance. This name symbolizes openness, romance, fusion, and legend.

The building’s exterior mainly consists of elegant grey reflective glass curtain wall and warm-toned textured stone. The three towers are designed as glass boxes, strategically positioned to provide a greater number of guest rooms with stunning sea views. The podium draws inspiration from rocky textures, using stone materials to create a visually captivating and monolithic appearance.
